This is our go to breakfast. We get our daily supply of healthy fats, and one of these keeps me going until dinner time (our evening meal). This recipe makes one quart of smoothie, and I serve it in a quart jar. The recipe can easily be cut in half if you don't need that much.
- 10 large (1 oz) coffee cubes-ice cubes made from coffee (If this is too strong a coffee flavor for you, replace some of the coffee cubes with ice cubes. I like 8 coffee and 2 ice. My daughter likes 6 coffee and 4 ice.)
- 2 T chia seeds
- 3 T raw cacao powder
- 4 T coconut oil
- 1 T raw honey
- 1 t vanilla
- ¼ t Himalayan salt
- ¼ t cinnamon (optional)
- 1 large avocado (6-8 oz.)
- 2 oz. frozen banana, chopped
- 1 C milk or 1/2 C milk & 1/2 C cream
- 2 raw eggs
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
These ground spices all have health promoting benefits! Use anything from a pinch to ⅛ t.
