I had the pleasure of attending a free workshop at Whole Foods when they first opened. It was an utterly enjoyable experience and what I learned in the workshop has been my standard for facial care ever since. At first I was skeptical, thinking it couldn't possibly be so easy, now I am convinced that I will be hard pressed to find a better way.
OATMEAL SMOOTHER:ground oatmeal (I use the blender)
plain yogurt
Mix equal amounts of oatmeal and yogurt. Stir into a paste and massage onto face and throat. Rinse.
PEACHES AND CREAM GLOW MASK
½ small ripe peach
1 T heavy cream
Mash peach into a pulp. Combine with the cream. Wrap a towel around your hair to catch the drips. Apply mixture to neck and face. Leave on for 20-30 minutes while lying down or reclining.
LAVENDER TONER
1 T lavender flowers
½ C water
½ C witch hazel
6 drops lavender essential oil
Place lavender flowers in a glass measuring cup. Boil the water and pour over lavender flowers. Cover and steep until it returns to room temperature. Strain lavender flowers from the infusion. Add witch hazel and essential oil to infusion. Store in a glass bottle in the refrigerator. Very refreshing!! (I keep mine in a bottle with a glass eye dropper. I apply to my face by the dropperful, using my clean hands.)
MOISTURIZER
100% pure Jojoba oil
It really is that simple. Just massage into your face each evening after washing and using the lavender toner.
